Greetings! I'm Dr. Joseph Bavaria, a cardiac surgeon who graduated from Tulane University in 1983. Throughout my career, I have performed approximately 9,000 cardiac surgeries, specializing in heart valve procedures, accounting for 6,000 of those surgeries. My primary practice location is at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
I consider my unwavering dedication to the field of surgery as my greatest strength. Through holding national leadership positions, contributing to clinical guideline development, and researching transcatheter and bicuspid aortic valve therapies, I have committed my life to continuous learning and innovative advancements in cardiac surgery.
