Our range of advanced valve procedures includes robotic-assisted mitral valve repair, minimally invasive mitral valve repair using MitraClip®, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). Yale New Haven Hospital is the sole facility in New England to offer robotic-assisted mitral valve repair using the da Vinci Xi® robotic surgical system.
Additionally, we are among the select few hospitals in the United States that perform the AVNeo™ (Ozaki) procedure, utilizing the patient's own tissue to create a new aortic valve. The minimally invasive TAVR and transcatheter mitral valve replacement procedures allow for valve replacement without the need for open-heart surgery. Our expert cardiac physicians at Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital have performed the highest number of TAVRs in Connecticut, achieving exceptional outcomes. Moreover, we provide valve-sparing root replacement, bicuspid aortic valve repair, and clinical trials for transcatheter tricuspid valve therapy.
