2 – LINX™

It is a small, flexible ring of magnets that is surgically implanted around the lower esophageal sphincter (LES) to help keep it closed and prevent stomach acid from flowing back into the esophagus. The procedure to implant the LINX™ device is typically performed using minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, and it is intended to be a permanent implant.
The LINX™ device is designed to allow food and liquids to pass through the LES while preventing stomach acid from refluxing back into the esophagus. It is considered a safe and effective alternative to traditional GERD treatments such as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) or surgery to strengthen the LES.
