1 – Macroplastique®
Macroplastique® is a medical device used to treat urinary incontinence in both men and women. It is a type of bulking agent, which means that it is injected into the tissue surrounding the urethra to increase its resistance to urine flow and prevent leakage.
The Macroplastique® implant is made of small beads of a biocompatible and non-absorbable material called polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) that are suspended in a gel-like carrier substance. The procedure involves injecting the implant into the tissue around the urethra using a needle or catheter, under local or general anesthesia. The implant forms a bulking effect, which helps to increase the thickness of the tissue and restore urinary control.
It is important to note that like all medical procedures, Macroplastique carries some risks, including infection, bleeding, and allergic reactions these risks and any potential complications with their doctor before undergoing the procedure.
2 – Optilume®
Optilume® is a medical device used to treat urethral strictures, a condition in which the urethra narrows or becomes obstructed, leading to difficulty in urination. It is a non-surgical treatment option that uses a specialized balloon catheter to dilate the narrowed area of the urethra and restore normal urine flow.
The Optilume® catheter is inserted into the urethra and positioned at the site of the stricture. The balloon is then inflated with a sterile solution, which gently stretches the narrowed tissue and widens the urethral opening. The device is designed to deliver controlled, targeted pressure to the strictured area, which can help to break up scar tissue and other obstructions that may be causing the narrowing.
3 – injeTAK®
injeTAK® is a medical device designed for cystoscopy injections into the bladder wall for the treatment of Overactive Bladder (OAB) and Neurogenic Detrusor Overactivity (NDO). It is specifically designed to be used in conjunction with BOTOX® or other legally marketed drugs to treat these conditions.
The injeTAK® adjustable tip needles are designed to provide precise and accurate injections into the bladder wall, delivering the medication directly to the affected area. The adjustable tip allows for a customized injection depth, ensuring that the medication is delivered to the correct location in the bladder wall.
