Samsung is a South Korean multinational conglomerate that is primarily known for its electronics and appliances. The company was founded in 1938 by Lee Byung-chul and has since grown to become one of the largest companies in the world.

In recent years, Samsung has also made significant investments in the health and wellness space. The company’s Samsung Health app allows users to track their fitness goals, monitor their heart rate and blood pressure, and receive personalized coaching and guidance. Samsung has also developed wearable devices like the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy Fit that offer advanced health monitoring features like ECG and blood oxygen saturation monitoring.

Here are some of the Samsung Galaxy medical smartwatches health-related features:

  • Samsung Health: This is a comprehensive health and fitness app that tracks your activity, exercise, nutrition, sleep, and stress levels. It also allows you to set health goals and connect with other fitness apps and devices.
  • Heart rate monitoring: Many Samsung devices, including smartwatches and smartphones, have built-in heart rate monitors that can measure your heart rate during exercise or at rest.
  • Blood pressure monitoring: Some Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active2, have a feature that can measure your blood pressure.
  • ECG monitoring: The Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active2 also have an ECG feature that can measure your heart’s electrical activity and detect any irregularities.
  • SpO2 monitoring: Some Samsung devices, such as the Galaxy Watch3 and Galaxy Watch Active2, have a feature that can measure your blood oxygen saturation levels.
  • Bixby voice assistant: Bixby can provide voice-guided workouts and nutrition advice, and can also help you track your fitness goals and progress.

Here we won’t talk about one, but three models of the Samsung Galaxy Series.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2

The Galaxy Watch 4 is essentially an extension of the Active line, minus the Active branding. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 also includes the same software as the Galaxy Watch 3, thereby limiting third-party apps.

In terms of health features, the Active 2 has its own FDA-approved ECG sensor and blood pressure reading. There is also heart rate, fitness, and workout tracking. However, Samsung has really packed a number of features in its future models, especially the two we’ll be discussing next.

The Active 2 is now available for less than $200 but offers limited features when compared with the Apple Watch 7 or the Galaxy Watch 4.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3

The Galaxy Watch 3 offers the basic health features such as activity tracking, heart rate monitoring, ECG functionality, Blood Oxygen (SPO2) monitoring, and sleep tracking. It also includes fall detection and the ability to automatically send an SOS to emergency contacts. With the Galaxy Watch 3, users can leave their phones at home while staying fully connected on their watch.

In terms of battery life, the Galaxy Watch 3 lasts just over a day, whereas the Apple Watch 7 is capable of lasting up to 2 days and it offers fast charging, too.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

The Galaxy Watch 4 is an improvement from the Galaxy Watch 3. One major drawback of the Watch 3 was its software and its lack of third-party apps. To their users’ delight, Samsung took this into consideration when releasing the Galaxy Watch 4. The new model adopted a faster, more inclusive software, Wear OS – it can even be paired to its mortal enemy, the iPhone!

The Galaxy Watch 4 includes all health features that Watch 3 has with additional features. It has the ability to monitor blood pressure as well as measuring body composition. Users can also measure BMI, fat levels, water levels, and more. The Galaxy Watch 4 also includes a holistic sleep analysis and snoring detection, both of which are major upgrades from the Active 2. The interoperability is also decent.

In terms of price, the Galaxy Watch 4 starts at $249, whereas the Watch 3 still retails at $349 on the Samsung website. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is less costly than the Apple Watch 7, ranging from $249-$399, depending on the Bluetooth or LTE models.

It’s difficult to choose between the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Apple Watch 7. The former is the top choice for Android users and the latter for iPhone users. However, since Samsung has teamed with Google, it is possible that Fitbit users might move towards the Galaxy smartwatches. If you were to ask us to pick between all three Samsung models, we’d definitely pick the Galaxy Watch 4.

Conclusion

Samsung Galaxy Watch is a top-of-the-line smartwatch that offers an impressive range of features designed to cater to the needs of today’s on-the-go lifestyle. Its sleek design, long battery life, and advanced fitness tracking capabilities make it an excellent choice for anyone looking for a high-quality wearable device. Additionally, its customizable watch faces, built-in GPS, and powerful software make it a versatile and functional option for anyone who wants to stay connected and fit while on the go. With all these features and benefits, the Samsung Galaxy Watch is definitely a great choice for anyone looking for a top-tier smartwatch.

The watch looks nice. I don’t even have an issue with the band like I thought I would. It’s comfortable, and the battery life isn’t as bad as I expected from reviews. That being said I have gone through hours and hours of troubleshooting to try and get my messaging notifications to vibrate on my watch. I mainly got it so I wouldn’t need to be tied to my phone. Now I feel really regretful about the purchase.

I bought this for my wife and she absolutely loved it. Very stylish with neat features. I have one as well and wear it all the time. There is always room for improvement but we are happy with these watches.

    BATTERY LIFE TOO SHORT

Everything is fine except the battery, the app showed that it had 3 days left but it only lasted 8 hours at most. Even sometimes it turned off even with remaining baterry, I wanted a replacement but customer service only allowed me for a refund.

I had the samsung active 2 and that’s why I know how to compare both smartwatches.

    Beautiful watch!

If you’re looking for a smart watch that doesn’t include paying more to any cell carrier, this is it. I have a Pixel 4a5g and it easily pairs with it via Bluetooth to send texts, make calls, etc. If you don’t want to have it connected to your Android, just turn off Bluetooth. Connects easily to WiFi and has apps, etc. At $169, it’s a great value for a great looking and very substantial watch. I got it in grey which is more white with a hint of grey and matches everything.

I am previously a hardcore Fitbit user so decided to try this after Fitbit wanted to charge a monthly fee to access basic features. This is the watch I wish I had chosen years ago! It does everything my Samsung Galaxy Ultra S22 does and is far more accurate than any other brands I’ve tried. The only downside is having to charge it every morning
