ACURATE neo2

« Back to Glossary Index

ACURATE neo2 is a transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) device. TAVR is a minimally invasive surgical procedure used to replace a diseased aortic valve in the heart. The ACURATE neo2 device is designed to be inserted through a small incision in the patient’s leg or chest and guided to the heart using a catheter. Once in place, the device expands to replace the damaged aortic valve and restore normal blood flow. TAVR is typically used in patients who are considered high risk for traditional open-heart surgery.
