About

Nevro delivers long-term relief with high-frequency Spinal Cord Stimulation. Nevro Corporation is a medical device company that provides HFX, a comprehensive solution for individualized relief of chronic pain. Founded in 2006, the company is headquartered in Redwood City, California.

Nevro products include the Senza® System, a Spinal cord stimulation (SCS) device designed to provide relief for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions. Unlike traditional SCS devices that use paresthesia, a tingling sensation, to mask pain, the Senza® System employs High-Frequency (HF10™) therapy to target pain directly without causing the distracting tingling sensation.

HF10™ therapy has been shown to offer superior pain relief to patients compared to conventional SCS methods, leading to improved outcomes and enhanced quality of life for individuals living with chronic pain.

  • The HF10® Implant Procedure

HF10 device

SCS is a well-established pain treatment used in the U.S. for over 30 years. It includes a small implanted device that transmits mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord. These pulses calm the nerves and reduce pain signals to the brain. HF10® is also the only SCS treatment designated as superior by the FDA for getting the best results in both chronic leg and back pain. The procedure goes as follows:

  1. Physician locates the area of interest using fluoroscopy
  2. A small device is implanted under the skin
  3. Thin, flexible wires connected to the device are placed near the spine

2 – Senza®

Senza® is a neuromodulation device that uses electrical impulses to target and disrupt pain signals within the nervous system. This innovative approach, known as spinal cord stimulation (SCS), helps to alleviate chronic pain conditions such as back pain, neuropathy, and arthritis, significantly improving the quality of life for patients.

Senza®

The Senza® nevro system comprises a small implantable device, a thin wire lead, and a handheld programmer that allows patients to customize and control their pain relief settings. The device is placed near the spinal cord, and the lead is carefully positioned to precisely deliver the electrical impulses to the areas where the pain originates.
